Did you know that if you reserve a machine on amazon’s list of available instances for 3 years, you can run that machine for about $20.00 per month . these prices are only going down too. think about that for a minute and think about that huge sucker humming away in your basement / corner costing you about 8-10 bucks a month in electricity , Not to mention the hardware you’ve hard to replace over the years and the lets not forget the headaches of replacing that hardware . You get ripping bandwidth off the cloud too, your server could then be on a 300 meg per second connection. If you haven’t played with it yet you might want to think about it . you can have machines running in minutes which can be great for testing things out.
